Reason for running: Platform includes: 1) lower taxes; 2) less regulation; 3) more competition; and 4) meaningful tort reform. Would oppose changes to social security, work to strengthen pensions, and work to expand 401ks and IRAs. Would work to permanently end the marriage penalty and death taxes. Says Congress needs to regain control of spending and wipe out the federal deficit. Would work to increase efforts to defend America's borders. Opposes amnesty for those that enter America illegally.
