The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 21-year-old laborer from Carson City was arrested at 12:45 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Corbett Street on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer, battery and trespassing. Bail was set at $1,776.


• Richard David Ortiz, 53, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Monday on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to comply and felony possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. Bail was set at $9,039.


• Alberto Galvan Bautista, 26, a welder from Carson City, was arrested at 10:46 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $2,500.


The following are some of the 462 calls to which deputies responded Friday, Saturday and Sunday:


• Battery report at South Deer Run and Sedge roads at 1:11 a.m. Friday.


• Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 7:51 a.m. Friday.


• A report of an abused child at the hospital at 12:46 a.m. Saturday.


• A fence on Hampton Drive was hit by a vehicle that left the scene sometime before 7:56 a.m. Saturday.


• Coroner call in the 3000 block of Ormsby Boulevard at 1:23 p.m.


• A report of a man touching himself in the adult-video section of a Fairview Drive business at 1:53 p.m. Saturday.


• A report of a peeping tom in the 1300 block of Willard Lane at 6:02 p.m.


• Residential burglary report in the 400 block of North Walsh Street at 8:53 p.m.


• A man received a bloody nose and possibly a broken tooth in a fight in the 3000 block of Highway 50 East at 1:13 a.m.


• Someone threw a brick through a church window and stole items in the 5300 block of Snyder Avenue sometime before Sunday at 8:55 a.m.


• An inmate in the prison infirmary died at Northern Nevada Correctional Center at noon on Sunday.


• A lock was broken on a storage shed complex and items stolen in the 200 block of Sage Street sometime before 3:50 p.m. Sunday.


• A battery report on East Winnie Lane at 9:33 p.m. Sunday.


• Report of a fight between several people, some armed with bats, at Monte Rosa and Stanton drives at 1:19 a.m. Sunday. Three misdemeanor citations were issued.


Lyon County


The following are some of the 97 calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• Misdemeanor drunken driving arrest in the 3100 block of Opal Avenue at 1:01 a.m. in Silver Springs.


• Accident on Main Street in Fernley at 4:46 a.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 1:09 p.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest in Silver Springs at 4:29 p.m.


• Narcotics report at Highway 50 East and Fortune Drive in Dayton at 10:17 p.m.


Storey County


The following are some of the 17 calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• A report of a campaign sign having been defaced in the 2300 block of Cartwright Road at 8:50 a.m. and another sign on South I Street at 10:11 a.m.


• Several reports of political signs defaced on Cartwright Road at 11:17 p.m.
