Kathleen Esparza, 60, a five-year resident of Reno died July 23, 2006, at her home.
She was born June 20, 1946, in Dickinson, N.D.
Before moving to Reno, she lived in Carson City for more than 15 years.
Ms. Esparza worked for and retired from the State of Nevada's Emergency Management Agency. She battled chronic health problems and was recovering, when her death suddenly occurred.
Among her survivors are her daughters Camilla Allen of Sparks, LeAnn Baron of Ridgecrest, Calif., sister Rose Mary Stroup of Carson City, and four grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
Truckee Meadows Cremation & Burial is in charge of arrangements.
