The Western States Supermodified Racing League canceled Friday night's race at Meridian Speedway in Meridian, Idaho due to rain.

Racing from Northern Nevada are the teams of S&S Motorsports, owners Steve Shaw and Tom Silsby of Carson City with driver Troy Regier of Dinuba, Calif.; Amy Barnes and Eric Silsby, both of Minden driving cars owned by DNA Racing (Danny and Amy Barnes), and Mike Baisch of Salt Lake City driving a car owned by Courtney Lewis of Reno.

The annual Diamond Cup event was to be a two-day race, 40 laps each on Friday and Saturday.

WSSRL officials are anticipating racing today (Saturday), with just one, 40-lap feature.

Should the race be completed, results will be in Monday's Nevada Appeal.
