A memorial service for William Chelsey Bonds, 70, a 45-year Carson City resident, will be 3 p.m. today.

Mr. Bonds died June 1, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 14, 1936, in Sand Springs, Okla., to Charles C. Bonds and Shirley Mae White.

He enjoyed fishing. He owned and operated five wedding chapels in Carson City.

Mr. Bonds was preceded in death by his son Charles F. Bonds.

Among his survivors are sons William Bonds of Del Rio, Texas and Ethan Bonds of Carson City; daughter Debbie Kennedy of Tulare, Calif.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous extended-family members.

Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
