Any conference in the country, including those at Division I, would be hard pressed to have the type of Major League Baseball draft that the Scenic West Conference had.

The Scenic West had 12 pitchers taken in this week's draft, including two from Western Nevada Community College: Cole Rohrbough, who was taken in the 22nd round by the Atlanta Braves, and Mason Tobin, who was picked in the 45th round by the Braves.

In addition, all four of Southern Idaho's starting pitchers were taken in the draft while Community College of Southern Nevada had three pitchers taken, Salt Lake had two and Dixie State had one. Those drafted were:

Southern Idaho - Todd Privett, 14th round, New York Mets; Jordan Latham, 29th round, Chicago Cubs; James Wallace, 37th round, Florida Marlins; Adam Urnberg, 38th round, Baltimore Orioles. CCSN - Jordan Smith, sixth round, Cincinnati Reds; Kristopher Cichoski, 44th round, Braves; Brandon Trodick, 45th round, Minnesota Twins. Salt Lake - John Holdzkom, fourth round, Mets; Travis Barnett, 14th round, Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Dixie State - Colt Adams, 18th round, Houston Astros.
