The U.S. Fish and wildlife Service is stocking the Sparks Marina with several hundred Lahontan cutthroat trout.

A spokesman said the release will be at 10 a.m. today. The trout, weighing up to 4 pounds and up to 20 inches long, are being stocked to provide opportunities for recreational fishermen at the marina. A spokesman from the Lahontan National Fish Hatchery said this is the second year they have been able to provide a small number of Nevada's state fish to the marina.

The hatchery was able to stock 70,000 of the trout into Walker Lake this year.
