A Reno businessman is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of a woman and this morning's shooting of Family Court Judge Charles Weller.

Police are looking Darren Roy Mack, a white male adult driving a silver Ford Explorer, according to Reno Police Department Assistant Chief Jim Johns.

Mack is owner of Palace Jewelry on South Virginia Street.

He was last seen in the Double Diamond area of south Reno. He is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to be armed with a high-powered rifle.

He is described as 5 feet 11 inches weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. If you see the vehicle call 911.

Johns said the murder victim was discovered about 3 p.m. at an apartment in the 9900 block of Wilbur May Parkway.

"We do not have enough informaiton to say that he is the suspect in (the judge's) shooting at this time," said Johns.

Weller is believed to have ruled in the suspect's divorce case. According to Washoe County's online records the last entry in the divorce case was June 5.
