The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California will be sponsoring the Summer Food Service program. Lunches and snacks will be served to all children aged 1 through 18 years free of charge. Acceptance and participation requirements are the same for all races and genders, and those with disabilities. The program begins Monday and ends Aug. 25. Lunch is served from noon to 1 p.m. excluding holidays, at the Carson Colony Gym, 2990 S. Curry St.; the Stewart Community Building, 465 Clear Creek Ave.; the Dresslerville Gym, 1585 Watasheamu in Gardnerville and the Woodfords Fire House at 95 Washoe Blvd. in Woodfords. Father-daughter dance at Children's Museum

There will be a father-daughter dance from 7 to 9 tonight, hosted by the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St. Includes dancing, pictures and refreshments, $20 per family for members, $30 per family for non-members. Call 884-2226.

Fathers Day 'Pops Party' concert

Open Space Advisory Committee to meet

The Open Space Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Among items scheduled: Action to recommend draft of Carson River Aquatic Trail Plan to be incorporated into the United Pathways Master Plan, and discussions about a proposed lodge structure on the Horse Creek Ranch Conservation Easement at Kings Canyon Road and weed management on the west section of Quill Ranch, also at Kings Canyon Road.

Parks and Rec meets Tuesday

The Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Highlights include: Possible action on the recent draft of the Carson River Aquatic Trail Plan to be incorporated into the United Pathways Master Plan, and discussions about the status of a plan to build a new recreation center in partnership with Western Nevada Community College, the recent approval of Question 18 Quality of Life funds and how to prioritize Question 1 grant money.

Douglas County

Community bingo at senior center

There will be an afternoon of community bingo for those 21 years of age and older at the Douglas County Senior Center this today. Doors open at noon. Early bird games begin at 1 p.m., with regular games beginning 30 minutes later. Call 783-6455.

Pine Nut Mountains cleanup today

There will be a cleanup today for the Pine Nut Mountains in the Johnson Lane area at 9 a.m. Participants will meet in the main riding area at the end of Johnson Lane, about four miles east of Highway 395.
