Plummer new assistant at WNCC

Ashley Plummer has been named the new assistant women's soccer coach at Western Nevada Community College.

Plummer comes to the college with a physical therapy background and many years of soccer coaching and playing experience.

Plummer's soccer experiences include five years of play for the Humboldt State women's soccer team, and a year with the Oakdale Soccer League in Oakdale, Calif., where her duties included coaching, field preparation, game scheduling, practice and official scheduling.

She graduated from Sacramento High School in 2000, then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy from HSU. Plummer will assist Head Coach Hillary Arthur as the WNCC soccer team heads into its second season.

The Wildcats begin 2006 on the road against Feather River College on Sunday, Aug. 27. Their first home matches are Thursday, Aug. 31, against Cochise Community College of Arizona and Saturday, Sept. 2, against Lassen College at the Edmonds Sports Complex.
