Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday

What I do: Specialty coffee and blended drinks. I have berry smoothies, pastries, bagels and Mini Melt ice cream. My pastries are from Sierra Bakery.

Why I decided to open the business: I was in Southern California where I was in the medical industry. I cashed out my 401(k) and I started my own business. My wife and I attended Seattle Barista Academy. My design was assisted by Great Products Only, which is also in the Carson Mall.

Business accomplishments: I was awarded the vendor contract to operate in Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in 2005.

Family: We moved here because my father has an illness, and we wanted to be close to him. We settled in and re-established the business. My wife is Rebecca and we have a son, Chris Jr., and daughters, Jessica and Jazmine.

My favorite coffee drink: The caramel blended smoothie.
