Helen L. Keep, 82, a Silver Springs resident since 1982, died June 21, 2006, in Carson City.
Mrs. Keep was born Dec. 28, 1923, in Centerville, to Charles and Fay Newman. She was raised in Yerington.
Before moving to Silver Springs, Mrs. Keep lived in Las Vegas and Winnemucca.
She worked in the electronics industry.
She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, fishing and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Eugene Keep, in 1986; brothers Clifford and Wesley Newman; and by sisters Edith Howard, Dorothy Mathews, Ruth Dower and Phyllis Hazelwood.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Frances Luella and Andrew Sams of Silver Springs and Vera Mae and Johnny Payton of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Barbara Lee Russell of Fort Worth; brother John Lowell Newman of Lemmon Valley; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
