Catch and Release ended on June 30 at Wildhorse Reservoir

The special "catch and release" season for black bass ended at Wildhorse Reservoir in Northern Elko County on June 30.

Wildhorse Reservoir is located 64 miles north of Elko (about 364 miles from the Carson City area).

Each year, beginning July 1 and running through the last day of February, the limit for the black bass is one bass with a minimum size of 15 inches.

Other limits at Wildhorse are: five trout, 10 mountain whitefish, 15 warmwater game fish and there is no limit on perch.
