A celebration of life for Gary A. Chandler, 62, a Minden resident, will be 11 a.m. July 15 at the El Segundo Fire Department in Southern California. A tree will be planted in his memory along the walking path of Saratoga Spring Estates.
Mr. Chandler died June 20, 2006, at the Carson Tahoe Emergency Room. He was born Sept. 27, 1943, to Al Chandler and Margaret Ward.
He was the battalion chief with the El Segundo Fire Department.
Among his survivors are his parents; wife, Patty A. Chandler, of Minden; son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Carrie Chandler; son Michael; brother Glen Chandler; former wife, Jeri; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gary A. Chandler Memorial Fund, Account No. 8224527104 at Wells Fargo Bank.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
