Fourth of July Spectacular in Virginia City is a fun event. I went last year and hung out with my friend Jeanine Wittenberg, who owns Bubba & Deeks, and had a great time.
The fun starts at noon with the parade down C Street. The Second Amendment Celebration Concert featuring the Comstock Cowboys begins at 5 p.m., with opening act Bobby Kittle and the Chix C Dicks at 2 p.m. in the Delta Parking Lot.
Hang around after the Comstock Cowboys perform, fireworks begin.

I got a few e-mails from Carson City residents wanting to know about the local farmers market. Yes, there still is a wonderful farmers market here in Carson City held every Wednesday at the Pony Express Pavilion at Mills Park.
They have assorted fresh fruit and produce, and they also have vendors and crafters within the pavilion. I purchased some honey for homemade granola bars and I can tell you it was great. If you want to check out the sights of some fresh fruit and veggies, head down Wednesday.

The Carson City Library is providing a fun night for teens, with the showing of Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride."
Children are always looking for something safe and fun in town, and here's the ticket to both. Snacks are provided, and the children get to watch on a large screen.
Tell your kids to clean up their rooms, and you'll take them out for a fun night at our local library.
