Misfits offer another melodrama
The Misfits will be performing "Dirty Deeds Don't Do or Dayton Diggins Again," at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday in the Odeon Hall on Pike Street in Old Town Dayton.
This rousing melodrama features Bunco DeSneer and his gang, who have purchased Dayton Diggins from Henrietta Steindrinker at the Gopher Ranch and set up a scam with the Easymoney mine. It works until Bunco learns from Monty Mountainman he was sold a town Henrietta didn't own and in the end learns that Dirty Deeds Don't Do.

NNDA planning breakfast meeting

Churchill Arts Council presents Susan McKeown
The Churchill Arts Council will present a concert of Irish love songs from Susan McKeown and Blackthorn at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Barkley Theatre of the Oats Park Art Center, 151 East Park Street in Fallon.

Rodeo team fundraiser in Fallon
The Western Nevada Community College Fallon Intercollegiate Rodeo Team, which is supported solely by private and corporate donations, is having it's fifth annual fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Fallon Convention Center, at 100 Campus Way. No-host cocktails start at 6 p.m., followed by a barbecue-style dinner at 7.
There will be a silent auction during cocktails and dinner, followed by a limited live auction after dinner. There will be live music and dancing until midnight.

Three plays to open at Gold Hill Hotel
The Gold Hill Theater Troupe announces three new plays are opening during the last weeks of March at The Gold Hill Hotel, one mile South of Virginia City. Call (775) 847-0111 to reserve seats.
The first two plays are done as after dinner theater from 5-7 p.m. with a Way Off Broadway Dinner and Theater Special available at $28 for dinner and a ticket to the play.
On Wednesdays at 8 p.m. through May 25, actors from the troupe will present the famous Broadway play "Agnes of God," written by John Pielmeier, and directed by Jeanne Weber.
On Thursdays at 8 p.m. through May 25, actors will present "Fringes of Gold," a two-act drama written and directed by Leslie Stevens.
On Fridays at 7 p.m. through June 2, actors, singers and dancers will present the variety show "The Gold Hill Follies of 2006." It is written and directed by Perry Arnn and Jeanne Weber. The show and the dinner are $45 per person plus tip and tax and reservations are advised.
Silver Springs
March for Meals holding fundraiser
March for Meals will be holding a prime rib dinner and dance fundraiser at the Silver Springs Senior Center at 4 p.m. Saturday at 1050 Pyramid Street in Silver Springs. Cost is a $5 donation. Horse group plans poker ride, meeting
The Lyon County Horseman's Association will be holding a poker ride at the Lahontan State Park horse camp on Saturday. Breakfast will be served at 10 a.m. Members cost for breakfast is $3, non-members cost is $5. Cost for the poker ride is $5 for members and $15 for non-members. This fee includes one poker hand and lunch. Each additional hand is $5. There will be a $50 first prize and several other prizes. Cost to enter the park is $4.
