Carson JV baseball beats Douglas

CARSON JVS 8, DOUGLAS 4

Paul Cagle struck out six over five innings for the win for the Carson junior varsity baseball team. Matt Rutledge pitched a scoreless inning in relief, striking out two, in the game that was called after six innings due to a two hour, 15 minute time limit.

Tommy Preston had a key two-run single in the fifth inning that gave Carson a 6-3 lead and Kyle Stone, who went 3-for-4, followed with an RBI single to make it 7-3. Cagle went 2-for-3 and Drew Good and Tyler Smith each added a hit.
