A Stagecoach man was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunken driving after an accident on Highway 50 East near Occidental Drive backed up traffic for at least an hour.

Mark Rinaldi, 45, was booked into the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of drunken driving, failure to use due care and driving without insurance. He posted a bail of $2,052 on Saturday and was released.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen, Rinaldi was westbound in a 1998 Ford pickup when he rear-ended a vehicle stopped near Occidental Drive. The two women in the other vehicle were not injured.

Rinaldi was taken by Care Flight helicopter to Washoe Medical Center for a minor head injury. Upon his release, he was taken into police custody.
