A memorial service with military honors for Russell F. Braselton, 82, a five-month Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday in the veterans section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mr. Braselton died April 28, 2006, at his home.

He was born April 28, 1924, to Fredrick Albert Braselton and Ruby Mae Parker.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of the Lincoln Club and the National Car Club. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mr. Braselton was preceded in death by a sister Priscilla Murphy; brother Eugene Braselton; and son Ty Braselton.

Among his survivors are his children, DeeLynn Andrews of North Carolina, Teri Hill and Russell E. Braselton, both of Ogden, Utah; sisters Adahmae Warnes of Washington, Wanda Chamberlain and Patricia Kukuruza, both of Idaho; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
