Jay G. Turner, 53, an eight-year resident of Dayton, died May 3, 2006, in Carson City.
He was born Aug. 29, 1952, in Hayward, Calif., to Earl and Rose Turner.
He married Kristi Turner on Oct. 6, 1979, in Stateline.
Turner was active in the Dayton Historical Society and enjoyed camping, fishing and dirt-bike riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary Turner.
Among his survivors are his wife of Dayton; daughters Jennifer Turner of San Ramon, Calif.; Alisha Turner, Jerraca Turner and Jolien Turner all of Dayton; son Jason Turner of Dayton and two grandchildren.
A private family service will be held with cremation at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley in charge of arrangements.
