A memorial service for Jack Muscato, 75, a Yerington resident since 1995, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208 in Yerington.
Mr. Muscato died May 8, 2006, at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington of lung cancer. He was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Angola, N.Y.
He married Phyllis Cole in 1961.
Mr. Muscato worked as a tree surgeon and in construction before going to work for the state of Nevada at the mental hospital in Sparks as a gardener and groundsman.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
Among his survivors are his wife of Yerington; children Elouise Williams, Debra Muscato and Anthony Muscato; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Frietas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
