What I do: We rent out equipment, such as light-duty equipment for home owners and heavy duty equipment for contractors. We also rent tents, tables and chairs for parties.
Why the company moved to Carson City: This is our 11th branch and we decided to put it in Carson City because of the strong economy and the need for another rental business.
Why I wanted to come here: I ran the store in Woodland, Calif., and I was asked to head the store here. I love the desert area. And it's close to Tahoe and Reno. I can go skiing and gaming and off-roading all in one area. And the people I've met here have been wonderful. Carson City has a small-town atmosphere that I like because I was raised in a small town.
Business accomplishments: I went from running a small store to running a larger store in about eight months.
What equipment do you use: I use the equipment here all the time, especially the gardening equipment for upkeep around my house.
