A graveside service for Afton E. Crowe, 87, a 36-year Carson City resident, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery. A viewing will be from 1-2:30 p.m. before the service at Walton's Chapel of the Valley on Roop Street.
Mrs. Crowe died May 12, 2006. He was born May 21, 1918, in Richfield, Utah, to Paul and Ellen Davis Kelly.
She moved to Nevada when she was 5.
She married Leland B. Crowe on June 25, 1937, in Ely.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Capitol Rebekah Lodge No. 14 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband in July 1979.
Among her survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Arlene Crowe of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Rodney Johnson of Carson City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one niece.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
