Brooke R. McKee, 80, a 14-year Minden resident, died May 9, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. McKee was born Feb. 14, 1926, in South Carolina to Edgar Esse Routh and Nellie Brooke Routh.
She married Van V. McKee on July 17, 1948, in Bronxville, N.Y.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Sacramento.
She was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church.
Among her survivors are her husband of 58 years of Minden; and daughter Sally Cargile and grandsons Peter and John Cargile, all of Sacramento.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
