October trial dates were set Monday for a 23-year-old Carson City man charged with two counts of attempted murder and a 20-year-old Carson City man charged with allegedly trying to download child pornography.

Travis Williams pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to attempted murder for allegedly driving his vehicle through a glass wall at two employees in an auto showroom on Nov. 11. He will also be given a separate trial on an unrelated charge of assault on an officer by a prisoner for allegedly fighting with jail staff. He is being held at Nevada State Prison awaiting his Oct. 10 trial date.

A motion to reduce Williams $100,000 bail was denied by Judge Michael Griffin.

Christopher Nelson, 20, pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted possession of child pornography.

A computer forensic analyst testified during a preliminary hearing he was able to find three downloaded videos on Nelson's computer with titles that contained the words "preteen gay 12 year old," "illegal preteen underage Lolita kiddy" and "Lolita kiddy preteen, tiny children sex."

The analyst went on to say the three videos were never viewed by the computer owner, but he was able to view them and none of them contained child porn.

The four-day trial is set for Oct. 3.
