Norval L. Brotzman, 89, a 30-year Carson City resident, died May 15, 2006, in Carson City.
Mr. Brotzman was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Baltimore, to Charles Asa and Bertha Brotzman.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Whittier, Calif.
He worked for 37 years with Pacific Telephone.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer second class.
He belonged to the IEEE Electrical Engineers Organization and various ham radio clubs.
He enjoyed ham radios, collecting miniature trains, traveling and playing the organ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Brotzman, in 1999, and sister Mildred Bernard.
Among his survivors are his daughter, Barbara Hefner of Grass Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
