Philip J. Cutts, 61, a one-year Silver City resident, died May 11, 2006, in Silver City.
Mr. Cutts was born May 4, 1945, in Oakland, Calif., to Edward and Nelva Cutts.
Before moving to Silver City, Mr. Cutts lived in Sacramento, Calif.
He was a Zen Buddhist.
He was a musician and a horse trainer.
He enjoyed playing guitar and reading. He was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West.
Among his survivors are his brother, Thomas E. Cutts of Silver City, and cousins David and Sharon Labate.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
