A memorial service for Luis M. Coca, 86, a 14-year Carson City resident, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley Christian Center.

Mr. Coca died May 17, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Puerto Rico to Luis Coca Hernandez and Maria Mir.

He married Jo Ann Brown-Coca in December of 1974 in California.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Gardenia, Calif.

He was retired.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Angie and Ken Hardine of Puerto Rico; daughters Carrie Coca and Tita Turley, both of Gardenia; sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Kelly Brown, Luis M. Coca III and Veronica Coca, all of Carson City; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several extended-family members in Puerto Rico.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
