Scouting Nevada: The Pack have won 14 of their last 17, including three wins over Hawai'i and a win over Fresno State at last week's WAC Tournament... McPherson hasn't allowed an earned run over her last 41 innings of work... The Pack are hitting .265 as a team with just two regulars - Hunt and Lorenzen - hitting over .3300... Lorenzen is hitting .4533 over the last 17 games... Douglas High's Kaycee Wilcks' cousin is none other than starting OSU pitcher McGowan... Nevada is 2-7 against top-25 teams this year and has been outscored 35-15 in those games... Rainwater and Lorenzen currently have three-game hit streaks.

Scouting Oregon State: The Beavers hit nearly .300 as a team with six hitters over the .300 mark... OSU pitchers are holding opponents to a .233 average... McGowan is tied for second on the team with eight homers and her 25 RBI is tied for third-best... The Beavers have lost five of their last six, all against ranked teams. They lost 1-0 to UCLA, 9-2 to Arizona state and 1-0 and 11-2 to Arizona... After opening the season with losses to Northwestern and Nebraska, the Beavers went on a 28-game winning streak, including wins over LSU, Northwestern, Baylor and DePaul.
