Contractors board awards homeowners from recovery fund

The Nevada State Contractors Board awarded 11 homeowners a total of $112, 503.88 from the Residential Recovery Fund on May 17.

The fund was established by the Nevada Legislature in 1999 to offer protection to Nevada owners of single-family residences who live in the homes who conduct business with licensed contractors for any construction, remodeling, repair or improvement.

The fund was established to provide relief to homeowners when they have been damaged by licensed contractors.
