A memorial service for Evelyn Esie Overkamp, 84, a four-year Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church in Muskegon, Mich. Burial will be after the service at the Laketon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon, Mich.
Mrs. Overkamp died May 22, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Muskegon to Victor Laban and Catherine Begus.
She married Richard Overkamp on Aug. 30, 1941, in North Muskegon, Mich.
She was a bookkeeper for Grease Stick Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Virginia M. Spradling; and brother Victor J. Laban.
Among her survivors are her husband, Roger Klett; son, Richard T. Overkamp; daughter Sandra Jean Perry; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Myron Carpenter; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert E. and Doris Laban, Thomas and June Laban and Joseph and LaMar Laban; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many extended-family members.
