Sheriffs' Log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Kristopher Ray Aragon, 19, of Carson City, and Jose Antonio Torres, 35, a cook, were both arrested at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail for each was set at $3,532.

• Christopher Pearson, 25, of Carson City, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Long Street on suspicion of felony parole violation. No bail was set.

• Megan Walter, 19 of Carson City, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of grand theft. Bail was set at $2,500.

• William Eugene Johnson, 47, with an address of 411 Hot Springs Road, was arrested on suspicion of felony failure to register as a sex-offender because he was allegedly living in a trailer in the 1100 block of Musser Street. Bail was set at $5,000.

• Kenneth William Shumate, 22, of Incline Village, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on a felony fugitive from justice warrant and misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $25,200.

• Harassment report in the 600 block of Fairview Drive at 6:31 a.m.

• Harassment report in the 1800 block of North Carson Street at 7:04 a.m.

• Graffiti report in the 4200 block of South Carson Street at 7:41 a.m.

• Accident at Lompa Lane and College Parkway at 8:56 a.m.

• Embezzlement report in the 3900 block of South Carson Street at 12:51 p.m.

• Fight report at Mills Park at 2:14 p.m.

• Threat report on Clear Creek Avenue at 4:54 p.m.

• An inmate died in the infirmary at Northern Nevada Correctional Center at 10:05 p.m.

• Juvenile problem at Silver Stage High School in Silver Springs at 10:42 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest at the Dayton substation at 11:22 a.m.

• Battery report at Silver Stage Middle School at 12:22 p.m.

• Accident on Highway 95 Alternate in Fernley at 3:28 p.m.

• Fire on Nevada Street in Yerington at 3:59 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest after the report of a domestic battery on Second Avenue in Mason Valley at 5:54 p.m.

• Accident on Highway 50 Alternate at 6:18 p.m.

• Battery report on Starlite Drive at 6:36 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the 20 calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Parking citation on South C Street at 12:28 p.m.

• A report of a person lying on the railroad tracks in Lockwood at 7:31 p.m. Deputies were unable to locate the person.
