Victor Burnell Johnson, 81, a 13-year Carson City resident, died May 24, 2006, in Carson City.
Mr. Johnson was born May 8, 1925, in Loyalton, Calif., to Victor Frank and Mattie Johnson.
He married Anita Kasner on May 24, 1953, in Oroville, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Johnson lived in South Lake Tahoe for 30 years.
He was a high school graduate. He spent 20 years working for the U.S Postal Service.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years.
He belonged to the Fleet Reserve Association, the Korea Association and the EOD Association.
He enjoyed working in the yard, NASCAR and baseball spring training.
He was preceded in death by his brother Darrell Johnson in 1949 from injuries sustained in World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife; sons Darrell and Darren Johnson, both of South Lake Tahoe; brother and sister-in-law John and Zina Johnson; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place at the Happy Homestead at South Lake Tahoe.
