Mary Lucynthia "Cindy" Haaser, 79, a three-year Carson City resident, died May 21, 2006, in Carson City.

Mrs. Haaser was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Anderson, Ind., to Charles Mattox and Miriam Haas Mattox.

She married Walter Haaser on June 14, 1947 in Bloomington, Ind.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Haaser lived in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati.

She was a professional interior designer and the owner/operator of Cindy Haaser Interiors.

She belonged to the Colonial Dames of America, Board Certified American Lineage Specialists, DAR, and the International Society of Interior Designers.

Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; daughters Kari Jones of Carson City and Barbara Shaner of Mancos, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
