Sawmill Derby this Saturday

This is a final reminder that the 15th annual Kids' Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, June 10, at Sawmill Pond at South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

To reach Sawmill Pond, take U.S. 50 to South Lake Tahoe to the "Y."

At the "Y," U.S. 50 goes left to Placerville and S.R. 89 goes right to Camp Richardson. Go straight ahead on South Lake Tahoe Blvd. to the four-way stop sign. Continue straight ahead for 1.3 miles to the junction of Sawmill Road and South Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Any youngsters up to the age of 14 are eligible to participate in that derby.

There is no registration fee for the youngsters.

The derby will run from 8 a.m. until about noon.

No lures are allowed and there is a limit of five trout per youngster.

There will also be free soda pop and hot dogs for everyone attending.
