A funeral for Edward C. Booker, 90, a Lancaster, Calif., resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Mr. Booker died Oct. 27, 2006, in Reseda, Calif. He was born Feb. 13, 1916, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Benjamin Booker and Rose Agnes Goetz.

He married Dorothy Flewellyn on Oct. 23, 1937.

Before moving to Lancaster, Mr. Booker lived in Carson City.

He was a hydrostatic retester for 40 years for Air Reduction Sales in Buffalo, N.Y.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a longtime Veterans of Foreign Wars member.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years.

Among his survivors are his daughters, Patricia Booker Faux of Lancaster and Shirley Booker LaBelle of Medford, Ore.; two granddaughters; one grandson and one great-grandson.

Burial will take place at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, with full military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to the Carson City Senior Citizens Center's Meals on Wheels program or to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
