Fred E. Thrower Jr., 50, a 20-year Carson City resident, died Nov. 11, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Thrower was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Ventura, Calif., to Fred E. Thrower Sr. and Myrna L. Nesser.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Ventura. He was a high school graduate and attended college.

He was a maintenance manager. Prior to that he co-owned a Shell station.

He was a Methodist.

He enjoyed golf, fishing, his mother's cooking and spending time with his dog, Chewy.

Among his survivors are his mother of Carson City and father of Ventura; sister Stephanie Colbert of Gardnerville; brother Greg Thrower of Caldwell, Idaho; niece Jennifer Colbert and nephew Kevin Taylor.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
