Dr. Danny and Deborah Larson have announced the winner of the logo contest for Dayton Riverside Veterinary Hospital.

The winners are Dianne and Mike Draper of Stagecoach, who received a $500 check from the Larsons. The Larsons would like to extend a hearty thank you to all who submitted entries, making a winning decision very difficult.

The hospital is in its final stages of construction at 210 Dayton Valley Road in Dayton.

Capital Towing employee Michael Irwin has traveled the world this week. Irwin can be seen in a photo by Nevada Appeal photographer Chad Lundquist as he stands inside the cab of a truck that overturned during Monday's windstorm.

The Appeal photo was sent to The Associated Press and then chosen by MSNBC for its online "Week in Pictures" site and also by AOL for its "Pictures of the Week."
