Troy 'Poncho' Ramirez

A visitation for Troy "Poncho" Ramirez, 46, a seven-year Carson City resident, will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Ramirez died Nov. 19, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Aug. 25, 1960, in Truckee to Louie and Nadine Ramirez.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Ramirez lived in Sandpoint, Idaho, from 1968-78.

He was a carpenter for Wray Homes of Tahoe City.

He enjoyed football, four-wheeling and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1973.

Among his survivors are his mother, of Carson City; wife, Viki Souza, of Carson City; daughter, Jennifer Ramirez of Thompson Falls, Mont.; sisters Teresa Ramirez of Clark Fork, Idaho, and Lisa Buensuceso of Reno; brothers Tony Ramirez of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Timothy Ramirez of Naples, Idaho; grandson, Silas Ramirez; and many extended-family members.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
