The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Sebastian Ortiz, 31, a machine operator from Carson City, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. Friday in the 4900 block of Goni Road on suspicion of felony child abuse. Bail was set at $40,000.

• Brian Cooper, 34, of Carson City, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony ex-felon in possession of a firearm and gross misdemeanor possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Bail was set at $22,500.

• Brandon James Saunders, 23, of Sun Valley, was arrested at 7:38 a.m. Saturday at Dan and Fall streets on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, no proof of insurance, open container and driving with a broken tail light. Bail was set at $5,482.

• A 26-year-old laborer from Carson City was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for battery. Bail was set at $1,000.

• A 44-year-old equipment operator from Carson City was arrested at 10:13 p.m. Friday at Highway 50 East and State Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $341 cash.

• A 26-year-old project manager from Carson City was arrested at 9:13 p.m. Friday at Highway 395 and Eastlake Boulevard on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant. Bail was set at $929 cash.

• A 44-year-old transient was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of West Caroline Street on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of probation. Bail was set at $3,000 cash. Also arrested was a 42-year-old transient on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer. Bail was set at $407.

• A 38-year-old carpenter from Carson City was arrested at 10:09 p.m. Friday in the 4200 block of Pheasant Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.

• A 26-year-old Les Schwab employee from Carson City was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of two counts of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $894.

• A 40-year-old Carson City resident was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Sherman Lane on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $1,000 cash.

• A 28-year-old unemployed Carson City resident was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Friday in the 5900 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of two misdemeanor warrants. Bail was set at $1,718 cash.

• A 19-year-old housekeeper from Carson City was arrested at 11:43 a.m. Friday at William Street and Lompa Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor reckless driving with wanton disregard, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance and two counts of contempt of court. Bail was set at $2,554.
