A celebration of life for Marc Edward Reynolds, 52, a Gold Hill resident, will be noon-4 p.m. Sunday at the Gold Hill Hotel, 1540 Main St.

Mr. Reynolds died Nov. 13, 2006, at South Lake Tahoe. He was born Nov. 4, 1954, in Southern California, to James and Geraldine Reynolds.

He married Melody Ann Rilling on Dec. 15, 1979.

Before moving to Gold Hill, Mr. Reynolds lived in Carson City.

He attended the University of Southern California, graduating with a bachelor's degree.

He worked in the trucking industry with some of the largest companies in the nation, starting as a dock supervisor and eventually becoming the regional manager for the Western states. He later worked for Paratransit Services in Carson City, and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency as a senior transportation planner for the last five years.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot during the Vietnam War.

He worked with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Search and Rescue. He was a 32nd degree Mason, belonged to the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, the Al-Malaikah Shriners, the V&T Railroad Foundation, the Historic Fourth Ward School Board of Directors and E Clampus Vitus, Snowshoe Thompson and Julia C. Bulette chapters.

Among his survivors are his wife of almost 27 years, of Gold Hill; sister ,Sherry Ferraro of Yucaipa, Calif.; godfather, Ralph Romano of Boston; godson, Wesley Smith; mother-in-law Marilyn; brother-in-laws Marcus and John; two nieces; and several friends.

McFarlane Mortuary in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
