Paul O. Rieger, 80, a 20-year Silver Springs resident, died Sept. 19, 2006, in Carson City.

Mr. Rieger was born July 25, 1926, in Pipestone, Minn., to Harrison M. Rieger and Dora Bell Haney.

He married Monalu Wright on May 3, 1953, in Manteca, Calif.

Before moving to Silver Springs, Mr. Rieger lived in Modesto, Calif.

He graduated from Manteca High School.

He was a transport driver for Rainbo Bread for more than 40 years, and had served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He enjoyed fishing and beer.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 19, 2005; a brother and three sisters.

Among his survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Myers of Silver Springs; son, Ross Dickey of Modesto; sisters Eloise Crettol of Stockton, Calif., and Barbara Campbell of Sacramento; brother, Willard Rieger of Manteca; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
