201 Highway 50 E.,

Suite 6

883-3676

Hours of operation: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday; Sunday appointment only.

What we do: We do aesthetics, which are facials and massage, body wraps, permanent makeup, wedding makeup, microderm abrasion, eyelash extensions. We do medical-grade cosmetic chemical peel and hair extensions.

Why we opened our business in Carson City: We decided to open to give Carson a unique atmosphere. The salon looks like a living room. It's very comfortable.

Experience: Joan had been in business for more than 20 years, and I've been in business in Carson City for more than 15.

My life motto: To enhance people's inner well being as well as outer.

My inspiration: My grandfather because he was the first person who ever asked me to massage his feet. He'd give me 25 cents, and I'd keep massaging him long after other kids stopped.

How much do you charge now? $75 an hour.

What's your favorite service that you provide? The margarita pedicure. I call it my South-of-the-border treat for the feet. I use a real shot of tequila for detoxifying and limes for whiting. Then I use a ginger sugar scrub for the feet and lime and coconut body butter for reflexology treatment. The cost is $30.

Joan loves doing custom coloring, adding some pizzazz.
