A memorial service for James H. Lidster, 70, a five-year Minden resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 891 Mahogany Drive in Minden.

Mr. Lidster died Oct. 8, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1936, in Sacramento to Howard Lidster and Mabel Hansen.

He married Phyllus Lidster on Aug. 8, 1988, in Sacramento.

Before moving to Minden, Mr. Lidster lived in Eureka, Mont.

He was the owner of a construction company and was a civil engineer.

He was preceded in death by his son John Lidster in Sacramento.

Among his survivors are his wife, of Minden; sons William Lidster of Sacramento and Robert Lidster of Hooksett, N.H.; daughters Heather Emmons and Denise Krasnosky, both of Sacramento; daughter and son-in-law Ann and Timothy Gudmann of Elk Grove, Calif.; sister Judy Van Winkel; sister and brother-in-law Barbie and Duane Heglie; 11 grandchildren; and several extended-family members.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
