A graveside service with military honors for George Thomas Spiros, 62, a 30-year Reno-Tahoe area resident, will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Mr. Spiros died Oct. 9, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 1, 1944, in San Francisco, Calif., to Thomas G. Spiros and Julie Moran.
He married Pat Chaves on May 1, 1971, at Lake Tahoe.
Before moving to Nevada, Mr. Spiros lived in Modesto, Calif. He attended Modesto High School.
He worked in the gaming industry as a dealer and supervisor, and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
He enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Georgia Stark.
Among his survivors are his wife, of South Lake Tahoe; sons Jonathon Spiros of South Lake Tahoe and Jeff Spiros of Las Vegas; daughter Jennifer Spiros of Watsonville, Calif., and granddaughter Brittany Spiros of South Lake Tahoe.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
