Douglas County Commissioners will discuss today possibly revoking the cabaret license of the Sunset Beach Bar at Zephyr Cove Resort after 15 complaints of noise and disturbances were made in June and July.
The Tiltons, who live 50 yards south of the resort along the beach, claimed in one instance, "the music was so loud that it could be heard inside of (their) residence," the report read.
In another part of the report, at least one complaint was tied to nearby boats. County officials are taking issue with the resort creating a party-like environment.
Zephyr Cove Resort management is operated as a Aramark concessionaire, and its attorneys were unavailable for comment.
In addition, Douglas commissioners will discuss the possibility of dedicating 2 percent of its transient occupancy tax from the Tahoe township to help pay for the South Tahoe Redevelopment Agency's convention center complex spearheaded by Lake Tahoe Development Co.
The presumption is using the government funds across the Nevada-to-California state line would require action from the Nevada Legislature when it returns to session.
Groundbreaking of the 12-acre project that includes the building of two condominium hotels off of Highway 50 near Stateline is set for May.
The meeting is slated for 1:30 p.m. today at the Tahoe Township Office, 175 Highway 50 in Stateline.
