Kristen Paige Grant, 40, a 10-year Gardnerville resident, died Oct. 15, 2006, in Gardnerville.
Ms. Grant was born Sept. 24, 1966, in Santa Barbara, Calif., to Norman Wallace Grant Jr. and Patricia Ann Hayes.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Ms. Grant lived in Santa Barbara, Calif.
She was a high school graduate and a swim instructor.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Norman and Dorothy Grant and Milton and Ida Hayes; and uncles Joseph Hayes and William Grant.
Among her survivors are her parents; brothers Scott and Paul Grant; and numerous extended-family members.
Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
