What's open and closed for Nevada Day

Here is a list of what will be open and closed in Carson City for Nevada Day:

Carson Street (Highway 395) will be closed at 8 a.m. today from Winnie Lane on the north to Fairview Drive on the south for the Nevada Day Parade. William Street (Highway 50) will be closed from Roop to Curry streets. Through traffic is encouraged to use Edmonds Drive and College Parkway to avoid parade traffic.

The Carson City Clerk's Office will be open for marriage licenses from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and for early voting 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Carson City Sheriff's Department will be closed. Officers will patrol as usual.

The Carson City Public Library will be closed and will reopen Monday.

Jump Around Carson will run today.

The Nevada State Museum and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will both be open normal operating hours.

The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will be open from 1-4:30 p.m.

The Nevada Appeal offices will be closed. Call 881-1217 with news tips.

RTC INTERCITY, the Reno to Carson bus route, will be running a normal schedule.

Halloween will be celebrated Tuesday.
