A celebration of life for friends and family of Joseph V. Rasymas, 79, a Carson City resident for more than 20 years, will be 2-4 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Soar Minden office at Minden-Tahoe Airport.

Mr. Rasymas died Oct. 5, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Lithuania.

He immigrated to the United States after World War II.

He was a corporate pilot who flew throughout the United States and overseas for McDonald's restaurants.

He flew jets and helicopters and was an instructor for gliders and airplanes.

He had memberships in travel, aviation, scientific, political, veterans support, and firearms organizations.

Among his survivors are sisters Ona Rasimaite and Marija Baranauskiene of Kuanas, Lithuania.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
