Nevada Appeal News Service - A Harrah's Lake Tahoe dealer was arrested on suspicion of theft for allegedly taking tip money from her colleagues, authorities said.

Michelle Michaels, a 52-year-old Zephyr Cove woman, was taken into custody by a Nevada Gaming Control Board officer Saturday afternoon at the casino, authorities said.

She was booked into Douglas County Jail at $25,000 bail on one count of theft.

Jerry Markling, chief of enforcement for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, said Harrah's Lake Tahoe security notified the agency of Michaels allegedly taking money from dealers' tokes, or tips, for several months.

Markling did not have a "definitive dollar amount" Michaels is accused of taking. Dealers' tokes typically are the total tips received from gamblers that are split among employees working in the particular shift, Markling said.
